It's back! Wallpaper has been making a comeback over the last few years and is once again on many designers’ top trends list for 2021. The latest trend in wallpaper, however, may be less of a long-term commitment. Self-adhesive, removable wallpaper is growing in popularity. This will allow homeowners to use wallpaper in small doses without the pain of removal. My father-in-law was a wall paper and paint guy all his life. The stories of the long painstaking days of stripping the walls are no longer the case when using the self adhesive removable options.
Wallpaper can bring a dramatic change to a space. But gone are the days where wallpaper is being used floor-to-ceiling for every room in the house. Instead, wallpaper is being used for accent walls or even just part of a wall.
Floral wallpaper also is being used in smaller doses: You may only spot it in the powder room or as an accent wall in an otherwise neutral room.
If you love the shiplap look, not sold on how long this shiplap trend is going to last, the perfect solution: shiplap removable wallpaper. Forgo the shiplap tutorials and expense of hiring a contractor, and just peel-and-stick your way to those airy farmhouse looks.
